Oxytocin is a 9-amino acid peptide hormone that is secreted by he posterior pituitary gland into the bloodstream. It is also secreted from other tissues, such as the testes and ovaries. New research studies have suggested Oxytocin may boost cognitive performance, decrease cardiovascular risk, and disturb the effects of diabetes.
