Flibanserin, also known as Addyi, is a medication approved for the treatment of pre-menopausal women with hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD). Flibanserin works by reducing the amount of 5-hydroxytryptamine which inhibits sexuality and improve dopamine levels that act as a sexual stimulant.
Flibanserin is known to directly effect the sexual pleasure control area of the female brain to aid in restoring deminishing female libido.
