Description
Triptorelin (GnRH)
Triptorelin is a synthetic analog of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), a hormone that plays a key role in the regulation of reproductive function. Triptorelin acts by initially stimulating the release of gonadotropins (Luteinizing Hormone or LH and Follicle-Stimulating Hormone or FSH) from the pituitary gland. However, continuous administration, leads to downregulation and desensitization of the pituitary GnRH receptors, ultimately suppressing the release of LH and FSH.
