Kisspeptin-10
Kisspeptin-10, often referred to simply as kisspeptin, is a peptide hormone that plays a key role in the regulation of reproductive function. It is derived from the kisspeptin family of proteins, and its primary function is to stimulate the release of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), which, in turn, triggers the secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) from the pituitary gland.
Research involving kisspeptin 10 often focuses on understanding its role in reproductive physiology and exploring potential therapeutic applications related to fertility and reproductive health.
