Description
Kisspeptin-10
Kisspeptin-10, often referred to simply as kisspeptin, is a peptide hormone that plays a key role in the regulation of reproductive function. It is derived from the kisspeptin family of proteins, and its primary function is to stimulate the release of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), which, in turn, triggers the secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) from the pituitary gland.
Research involving kisspeptin-10 often focuses on understanding its role in reproductive physiology and exploring potential therapeutic applications related to fertility and reproductive health.
