Description
DSIP- Delta-Sleep-Inducing Peptide
Delta sleep-inducing peptide (DSIP) is a naturally occurring substance. It is normally produced by the hypothalamus, a part of the brain that controls functions such as sleep and appetite. DSIP promotes a specific kind of sleep called delta sleep in animals. DSIP concentrations and the circadian rhythm are linked, which provides circumstantial evidence of its role in inducing sleep.
