Description
FOXO4-DRI
FOXO4-DRI is an experimental peptide developed to investigate cellular senescence, a biological state in which cells stop dividing but may remain metabolically active. Early preclinical research examined whether disrupting interactions involving FOXO4 and p53 could selectively promote the death of certain senescent cells. This remains an experimental research approach, not an established anti-aging treatment.
How It Works
FOXO4-DRI was designed to interfere with interactions between FOXO4 and p53 in senescent cells. Initial research reported senescent-cell targeting in experimental models, but these findings do not establish effectiveness or safety in humans.
POTENTIAL RESEARCH INTEREST
- Cellular senescence: Investigated as a possible approach to studying senescent cells.
- FOXO4–p53 signaling: Examined for its role in regulating cell survival.
- Senescent-cell targeting: Studied in early experimental models.
- Age-related biology: Relevant to research into cellular changes associated with aging.
Side Effects and Safety
Human safety, pharmacokinetics, and clinical efficacy have not been established. Results from experimental models cannot confirm that selective senescent-cell removal is safe in humans.
Dosage
No established human-use dosage is available for FOXO4-DRI.
Handling & Safety
Verify peptide identity and analytical documentation. Follow appropriate laboratory procedures for experimental peptides.
