N-acetyl epitalon amidate is a synthetic polypeptide. It is naturally occurring in the pineal gland, the name for the peptide when it occurs naturally is referred to as epithalamin. A very valuable and unique main property of Epitalon is its ability to increase telomerase activity in somatic cells. This helps cells reproduce telomeres, which are the protective parts of our DNA, which eventually results in slowing down the aging process.
